TFA Collects Only RM240,000 In Revenue

KUALA TERENGGANU, Sept 18 (Bernama) — The Terengganu Football Association (TFA) made a gross collection of only RM240,000 in ticket sales from this season’s Super League matches.

Its president, Datuk Che Mat Jusoh, attributed the drop in the collection to the use of the new Sultan Mizan Stadium in Gong Badak, which did not have proper control on the public entering the premises.

He said the situation resulted in many people watching the matches free by climbing over the door or through gaps in the perimeter fencing.

“This has never happened before, Normally, we can collect up to almost RM1 million,” he told Bernama after the TFA executive meeting on Friday.

He said with the coming Hari Raya celebration, THA had paid half of the salaries to the team players and coach.

On the meeting, Che Mat said TFA also discussed preparations for the Malaysia Cup matches which would begin on Sept 26.
